High-Strength 2-Octyl Cyanoacrylate Formulation

BIOFIT Glue is made with a 2-octyl cyanoacrylate formulation, whichfeatures a greater breaking strength and broader uses in clinicalapplications than existing n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylates.1

Antimicrobial Protective Coating

As a microbial barrier, BIOFIT Glue can also be used as anauxiliary Glue in conjunction with conventional suturing forsurgical incision closure, which can reduce postoperative infectionrate significantly.

Octylcyanoacrylate Technology

Provides increased flexibility designed to contribute to patientcomfort and helps preserve the integrity of the Glue, preventingpremature sloughing.

Precision Applicator

The application and setting of BIOFIT Glue is at least three timesfaster than wound closure with sutures. In less than three minutes,BIOFIT Glue provides the strength of approximated healed tissue atseven days.

No Need For Suture Removal

BIOFIT Glue sloughs off the skin during the wound healing period(usually five to 10 days). Although physicians may want to check ahealed wound after this time has elapsed, a follow-up visit forsuture or staple removal is not required.

Ease Of Use

The finesse required to apply BIOFIT Glue is more easily andquickly learned than that for suturing. Although proper use ofBIOFIT is an easily acquired skill, physicians and licensed medicalpractitioners should be trained in its use to ensure optimalresults.
